Oda Nobunaga

Oda Nobunaga was a powerful Japanese daimyo (feudal lord) during the late 16th century, known for unifying much of Japan through military innovation and strategic alliances. He played a key role in ending centuries of warfare during the Sengoku period, advancing firearms use and centralizing political power. Nobunaga was ambitious and ruthless but also a patron of the arts and commerce. His efforts paved the way for the eventual unification of Japan under his successors, Toyotomi Hideyoshi and Tokugawa Ieyasu. Despite his sudden death in 1582, his legacy endures as a transformative figure in Japanese history.
