OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) card

An OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) card is a lifelong visa available to foreign nationals of Indian origin, granting them multiple entry and residence rights in India. It allows visa-free travel, provides access to certain economic, educational, and cultural benefits, and eliminates the need for annual visas. However, OCI holders do not have political rights such as voting. The card aims to strengthen ties with the Indian diaspora, encouraging their continued connection and investment in India while recognizing their heritage. It is not equivalent to Indian citizenship but offers many privileges to nurture bonds with India.
