Occupational Disease

An occupational disease is a health condition caused primarily by exposure to specific hazards or risk factors associated with a person's job over time. These hazards can include chemicals, dust, noise, repetitive movements, or other environmental factors encountered regularly at work. Such diseases often develop gradually and are identifiable as linked to a particular occupation or industry. Examples include lung diseases from inhaling dust or fumes, hearing loss from noise exposure, or repetitive strain injuries. Recognizing occupational diseases helps ensure proper prevention, treatment, and compensation for affected workers.
