Objectivist epistemology
Objectivist epistemology, developed by Ayn Rand, is the philosophy of how we acquire and validate knowledge. It asserts that reality is objective and exist independently of our feelings or wishes. Our senses provide direct, certain information about the world, and reason is the primary tool to integrate this information into clear, consistent understanding. Knowledge is gained through rational thought, observation, and logical analysis, not through faith or emotional intuition. In essence, Objectivist epistemology emphasizes that truth is discoverable through an objective process, and our mind can reliably understand reality if we think rationally and logically.
