NuvaRing

NuvaRing is a small, flexible ring about 2 inches in diameter that you insert into your vagina once a month. It releases hormones called estrogen and progestin to prevent pregnancy by stopping ovulation, thickening cervical mucus, and altering the uterine lining. You wear it continuously for three weeks, then remove it for a one-week break during which you usually have your period. It’s a convenient, reversible contraceptive option that doesn’t require daily attention like the pill, but you should follow your healthcare provider’s instructions for correct use and discuss any health concerns before starting it.
