Nutritional disorders
Nutritional disorders are health problems caused by imbalances or deficiencies in the nutrients your body needs, such as vitamins, minerals, proteins, and fats. They can occur when you don’t get enough essential nutrients (deficiencies) or consume too much of certain substances (excesses). Common examples include anemia from iron deficiency, rickets from lack of vitamin D, obesity from excess calories, and scurvy from vitamin C deficiency. These conditions can affect growth, immunity, energy, and overall health. Proper nutrition through a balanced diet is vital for preventing and managing nutritional disorders.
