Nutrition and cancer
Nutrition and cancer are connected because what we eat can influence the risk and progression of the disease. A balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins provides essential nutrients that support the immune system and help repair cells. Conversely, excessive consumption of processed foods, red and processed meats, and sugary drinks may increase cancer risk. Good nutrition can also improve a cancer patient’s strength, treatment response, and recovery. While diet alone doesn't cause or prevent cancer, maintaining healthy eating habits is an important part of overall cancer prevention and management.
