Nurestani people

The Nuristani people are an ethnic group native to the mountainous regions of eastern Afghanistan, particularly in Nuristan Province. They are distinct culturally, linguistically, and historically from neighboring groups, speaking the Nuristani languages, which belong to the Indo-Iranian language family.
