Nuba people

The Nuba people are a diverse collection of ethnic groups living mainly in the Nuba Mountains of South Kordofan, Sudan. They share cultural traditions, languages, and histories distinct from neighboring regions. Traditionally, many engage in agriculture, raising crops and livestock, and some practice traditional music, dance, and rituals. Despite their rich heritage, the Nuba have faced conflicts, displacement, and marginalization, particularly during Sudan's civil wars. Efforts continue to preserve their cultural identity and secure their rights amid ongoing political and social challenges.
