NSTEMI

NSTEMI, or Non-ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction, is a type of heart attack that occurs when blood flow to the heart is partially blocked. Unlike a STEMI (ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction), it doesn’t show a specific pattern on an ECG (electrocardiogram). Symptoms may include chest pain, shortness of breath, or discomfort. NSTEMI may not cause as much damage as a STEMI, but it still requires prompt medical attention. Treatment often includes medications to improve blood flow and prevent further complications, and may involve lifestyle changes or procedures to enhance heart health.
