NRF2

NRF2 (Nuclear Factor Erythroid 2–Related Factor 2) is a protein that helps protect your cells from damage caused by stress and harmful substances, like pollution or toxins. It acts as a master regulator for activating genes that produce antioxidants and other protective molecules. When cells experience stress, NRF2 moves to the nucleus (the control center) and switches on these protective genes, aiding recovery and maintaining cellular health. Proper functioning of NRF2 is important for reducing the risk of chronic diseases related to oxidative stress, such as inflammation, aging, and certain illnesses.
