NRC (Noise Reduction Coefficient)

The Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC) is a number that measures how well a material absorbs sound. It ranges from 0 to 1, where 0 means no sound is absorbed and 1 means all sound is absorbed. For example, an NRC of 0.5 indicates that about 50% of the sound energy hitting the surface is absorbed, reducing echo and background noise in a space.
