Novosibirsk Region is a large administrative area located in southwestern Siberia, Russia. It surrounds the city of Novosibirsk, the region’s administrative center and Russia’s third-largest city. The region features diverse geography, including fertile plains, forests, and the Ob River, which flows through it. It is an important industrial, scientific, and educational hub, home to numerous factories, research institutes, and universities. The region's economy benefits from agriculture, manufacturing, and transportation.
