Northern Lights

The Northern Lights, or Aurora Borealis, are natural light displays in the Earth's high-latitude regions caused by interactions between charged particles from the sun and Earth's magnetic field. When solar particles collide with atoms and molecules in the Earth's atmosphere, they excite these particles, causing them to emit colorful light. The lights often appear as shimmering curtains, arcs, or spirals in the night sky, with colors primarily green, but sometimes red, purple, or pink. This phenomenon is a beautiful result of solar activity and Earth's magnetic forces working together.
