Northern Gannet

The Northern Gannet is a large seabird known for its striking white body, black-tipped wings, and distinctive yellow head. It is primarily found along the coastlines and islands of the North Atlantic. These birds are expert divers, plunging from high altitudes into the water to catch fish, their main food source. They often gather in large colonies on rocky cliffs during the breeding season. Northern Gannets are social, strong fliers with graceful, gliding flight patterns. They play an important role in marine ecosystems by helping control fish populations and are admired for their impressive diving skills and striking appearance.
