North Vietnamese Navy
The North Vietnamese Navy was the maritime branch of North Vietnam’s military from the 1950s until the country's reunification in 1975. It played a strategic role during the Vietnam War, employing small, fast boats, including missile and torpedo craft, to target U.S. and South Vietnamese naval forces. Known for innovative tactics and guerrilla-style operations, it aimed to disrupt enemy supply routes and maintain control over North Vietnam's coast and inland waterways. After reunification, it became part of the unified Vietnamese Navy, contributing to Vietnam's defense and maritime presence.
