North Star
The North Star, also known as Polaris, is a bright star located nearly directly above Earth's North Pole. Its position makes it a reliable reference point for navigation in the Northern Hemisphere, as it appears almost stationary in the night sky, with other stars seeming to move around it. Historically, sailors and travelers used Polaris to determine their latitude and find true north. Its consistent position makes it an important celestial guide, helping us orient ourselves on Earth.
