North Pacific Marine Science Organization

The North Pacific Marine Science Organization (PICES) is an international body that brings together scientists from countries bordering the North Pacific Ocean. Its goal is to promote cooperation in research related to marine and climate science, helping us understand ocean ecosystems, fish populations, and climate change impacts. PICES facilitates information exchange, scientific collaboration, and policy development to support sustainable management of marine resources and protect the health of the ocean in the North Pacific region.
