North Eastern Region (NER)
The North Eastern Region (NER) of India comprises eight states: Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura, and Sikkim. It is characterized by diverse cultures, languages, and landscapes, including mountains, forests, and rivers. The region is known for its rich ecological heritage and indigenous communities. Despite its natural beauty and resources, NER faces challenges like infrastructural development, connectivity, and economic integration with the rest of India. Efforts are ongoing to promote sustainable growth, preserve cultural identities, and enhance connectivity to unlock its full potential.
