Nonreactive nonstress test
A nonreactive nonstress test is a prenatal procedure used to monitor a baby’s health by measuring heartbeats and activity over time. During the test, the mother wears sensors that track the baby's heart rate and movements. A reactive or normal result shows enough healthy heart rate increases with movement, indicating good oxygen supply. A nonreactive result means the heart rate did not increase as expected, which may suggest the baby needs further evaluation. This test helps ensure the baby is doing well inside the womb and guides doctors on whether additional testing or interventions are needed.
