None (a concept in philosophy)

In philosophy, "None" often refers to the absence of existence or the lack of something. It signifies a state where a thing or property does not exist or is not present. For example, "none" of the objects in a set means the set is empty. Philosophically, it prompts questions about whether non-existence is possible or meaningful—such as the absence of an idea, object, or quality—and how we understand nothingness in relation to existence. It challenges us to think about the nature of reality, existence, and the boundaries between being and non-being.
