Non-States

Non-states are entities that exercise some degree of authority or governance but do not have full sovereignty like recognized countries. They include organizations such as terrorist groups, insurgent movements, or separatist groups that control specific territories or populations but lack official recognition in international law. These entities can challenge the authority of sovereign states, affecting regional stability and security. Unlike states, they don’t possess internationally recognized borders or diplomatic status, functioning often through force, influence, or negotiation outside the formal international system.
