Non-Foundationalism

Non-foundationalism is a view in philosophy of knowledge that challenges the idea of "basic" beliefs serving as an indubitable foundation for all knowledge. Instead, it suggests that beliefs are interconnected in a network, where they justify each other without needing any belief to be inherently certain. This approach emphasizes that knowledge is a web of supporting beliefs, continuously revisable and dependent on context, rather than relying on a single, unquestionable starting point. It promotes a flexible understanding of how we justify what we know, recognizing that our beliefs are part of an interconnected system.
