Non-cancerous Tumors
Non-cancerous tumors, or benign tumors, are abnormal growths of cells that do not spread to other parts of the body or invade surrounding tissues like cancerous tumors do. They often grow slowly and may remain the same size or stop growing. While they are generally not life-threatening, benign tumors can sometimes cause health issues if they press on vital organs, nerves, or blood vessels. Common examples include lipomas, fibroids, and certain skin growths. Treatment may involve monitoring or removal if they cause symptoms or pose health risks.
