Noise Floor

The noise floor is the baseline level of background noise present in any electronic or audio system when no intentional signal is being transmitted. It includes all the tiny, unavoidable sounds or signals produced by the equipment or environment, such as electrical interference or thermal fluctuations. Understanding the noise floor is essential because it sets the minimum level of signal that can be distinguished from background noise. If a desired signal is weaker than the noise floor, it becomes difficult to detect or reproduce accurately, affecting overall sound quality or system performance.
