NOAA Corps

NOAA Commissioned Officer Corps (NOAA Corps) is a uniformed service composed of professional scientists and maritime experts who operate ships, aircraft, and technology to support NOAA’s mission. They conduct weather, ocean, and environmental research, provide navigation and charting services, and assist in disaster response. As a federal uniformed service, NOAA Corps officers serve as stewards of the nation's marine and atmospheric resources, working in partnership with other agencies to gather critical data, monitor environmental changes, and help protect the environment and public safety.
