Nizam Shahi dynasty

The Nizam Shahi dynasty was a prominent Muslim ruling family that governed the Ahmadnagar Sultanate in India from 1490 to 1636. Known for their resistance against the Mughal Empire, they promoted culture, trade, and military strength in the Deccan region. The dynasty was founded by Malik Ahmad Nizam Shah I and played a significant role in shaping the history and politics of southern India during the late medieval period. Their rule ended when the Mughals and other powers eventually absorbed their territory.
