Nizam

The Nizam was the title of the monarchs who ruled the Hyderabad State in India from the early 18th century until 1948. They were originally a dynasty of Muslim rulers who held considerable autonomy and power, effectively governing a large and wealthy region. The Nizam was both the political leader and a symbol of authority, overseeing administration, military, and revenue. After India gained independence in 1947, the Nizam's rule ended when Hyderabad was integrated into India in 1948, marking the transition from princely rule to a modern democratic governance.
