Nirmohi Akhara

Nirmohi Akhara is one of the oldest religious orders within Hinduism, specifically among the sect of monks known as the Atharvaveda-based Sankaracharya tradition. It primarily functions as a religious organization dedicated to the worship of Lord Rama and managing temples related to him, including the Ram Janmabhoomi site in Ayodhya. The group is involved in religious activities, spiritual education, and the preservation of its traditions. Nirmohi Akhara gained national prominence due to its role in the Ram Janmabhoomi case, which involved disputes over land believed to be the birthplace of Lord Rama.
