Ninot

A Ninot is a small sculpture or figure, typically made of materials like papier-mâché or wood, used in the traditional Spanish festival called Las Fallas in Valencia. During the festival, these figures are displayed in the streets and often depict satirical or humorous themes, commenting on society, politics, or culture. At the end of the celebration, the Ninots are burned in a grand fire called "La Cremà," symbolizing renewal and the arrival of spring. Some Ninots are selected for special recognition, and the creators may have their works saved from burning through a special vote.
