Nihon

"Nihon" is the Japanese word for Japan, the island nation in East Asia known for its rich cultural history, advanced technology, and unique traditions. The term "Nihon" (or "Nippon") literally translates to "origin of the sun" or "sun's origin," reflecting Japan’s position east of the Asian continent and its nickname "The Land of the Rising Sun." The country comprises four main islands—Honshu, Hokkaido, Kyushu, and Shikoku—as well as many smaller islands, and is recognized worldwide for its innovations in electronics, automotive industries, and cultural exports like anime and cuisine.
