Nigerian Senate
The Nigerian Senate is the upper chamber of Nigeria's National Assembly, responsible for making and passing laws, reviewing government actions, and representing the states' interests. It consists of 109 senators: three from each of Nigeria's 36 states and one from the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. Senators are elected for four-year terms and work alongside the House of Representatives to ensure the country's governance aligns with its constitution. The Senate plays a critical role in shaping national policies, approving budgets, and providing oversight of the executive branch.
