NIDS (National Institute for Discovery Science)

The National Institute for Discovery Science (NIDS) was a private research organization founded in 1995 by Robert Bigelow. It focused on investigating unexplained phenomena, such as unidentified flying objects and other mysterious occurrences. NIDS aimed to approach these topics scientifically, analyzing evidence and conducting studies to better understand unusual events often dismissed or overlooked by mainstream science. Although it was active for several years, it eventually shifted its focus, and NIDS no longer functions as an independent entity. Its work contributed to raising awareness about unexplained phenomena and encouraging scientific inquiry in this field.
