Nicola Sacco
Nicola Sacco was an Italian-American anarchist and labor activist born in 1891. He is famous for being one of two men convicted of murder in a 1920 incident involving a payroll robbery in Massachusetts, a trial widely regarded as unfair due to limited evidence and anti-immigrant bias. Sacco maintained his innocence throughout, and he became a symbol for social justice and injustice. Despite appeals and international protests, he was executed in 1927. His case remains a significant example of the potential for bias in the justice system and the impact of political beliefs on legal proceedings.
