Nicodemus Tessin the Younger

Nicodemus Tessin the Younger (1654–1728) was a prominent Swedish architect and city planner during the Baroque period. He played a key role in designing and restoring many of Stockholm’s important buildings and parts of the city, including the Royal Palace. Known for his sophisticated and grand architectural style, Tessin combined classical elements with bold design choices, influencing Swedish architecture for generations. His work reflects a blend of artistic elegance and technical skill, making him one of Sweden’s most celebrated architects of his time.
