Nibbāna

Nibbāna (or Nirvana) is a fundamental concept in Buddhism, representing the ultimate goal of liberation. It is the state of liberation from suffering, craving, and the cycle of birth and death (samsara). Nibbāna is characterized by the cessation of desire and mental afflictions, leading to peace, clarity, and freedom. It is not a place or a heaven, but a profound state of inner tranquility and enlightenment that arises when one fully understands and releases attachment to worldly cravings and illusions. Achieving Nibbāna signifies complete spiritual insight and liberation from suffering.
