NIAID

NIAID, or the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, is a part of the U.S. government’s health agency. It funds and conducts research to better understand, treat, and prevent infectious diseases like COVID-19, influenza, HIV/AIDS, and other allergies and immune system conditions. Its goal is to improve global health through scientific discovery, developing vaccines, medications, and strategies to control infectious threats.
