
Neyman-Rubin Framework
The Neyman-Rubin framework is a method for understanding and analyzing experiments, especially in fields like medicine or social sciences. It considers that each individual has potential outcomes under different treatments (e.g., with or without a drug). The core idea is to compare these potential outcomes to measure the effect of a treatment. Since we can only observe one outcome for each person, the framework uses statistical techniques and randomization to estimate the average treatment effect across a group, helping determine if the treatment has a meaningful impact while accounting for variability.
