New Moon

A New Moon occurs when the Moon is positioned between the Earth and the Sun, causing the side facing us to be dark and invisible from Earth. This phase marks the start of a new lunar cycle, symbolizing new beginnings and fresh starts. Because the illuminated side is away from us, the Moon appears dark or nearly invisible in the night sky. The New Moon lasts about one to two days, after which the Moon gradually becomes visible again as it begins to reflect sunlight and transition into the Waxing Crescent phase.
