New Media Consortium

The New Media Consortium (NMC) was a nonprofit organization dedicated to exploring and shaping emerging technologies in education. It brought together experts, educators, and innovators to research how new digital tools like e-learning platforms, virtual reality, and social media could enhance learning. The NMC produced valuable reports and frameworks, such as the Horizon Report, to guide institutions and educators in adopting emerging technologies effectively. Although the organization ceased operations in 2018, its work continues to influence the integration of innovative digital media in education worldwide.
