New Deal Agency
New Deal Agencies were government programs created during the 1930s in response to the Great Depression. Their goal was to provide economic relief, create jobs, and stimulate recovery by funding public works projects, supporting agriculture and industry, and establishing social safety nets. Examples include the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC), which hired young men for conservation work, and the Works Progress Administration (WPA), which employed millions on infrastructure projects. These agencies aimed to restore confidence in the economy, reduce unemployment, and improve living conditions for Americans affected by economic hardship.
