neutral pH
Neutral pH is a measurement of how acidic or alkaline a solution is. It is set at a value of 7 on the pH scale, which ranges from 0 (very acidic) to 14 (very alkaline). At pH 7, the concentration of hydrogen ions (which create acidity) is balanced with hydroxide ions (which create alkalinity). Pure water is a common example of a neutral pH. This balance is important in many natural processes and industrial applications, as it helps maintain stable environments and supports biological functions.
