Neurologic examination

A neurologic examination assesses how well the nervous system, including the brain, spinal cord, and nerves, is functioning. It involves tests to check your mental alertness, muscle strength and coordination, reflexes, sensation (such as touch and pain), vision, and speech. The doctor may ask you to perform simple movements or to respond to commands, examining how your nerves and muscles work together to control your body. This helps identify any neurological problems, like nerve damage or brain issues, enabling accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
