A neurointerventional radiologist is a medical specialist who uses advanced imaging technology to diagnose and treat disorders of the brain and spinal cord through minimally invasive procedures. They insert tiny tubes, preferred called catheters, into blood vessels to perform treatments such as clot removal for strokes, aneurysm repair, or vascular malformation management. These procedures often do not require open surgery, resulting in shorter recovery times.
