Netherlands Parliament

The Netherlands Parliament, known as the Staten-Generaal, is the country’s legislative body responsible for making laws and overseeing the government. It consists of two chambers: the House of Representatives (Tweede Kamer), with 150 members elected by citizens every four years, and the Senate (Eerste Kamer), with 75 members chosen indirectly by provincial legislatures. The House debates and passes legislation, while the Senate reviews and approves laws. Parliament checks government actions, debates policies, and represents citizens’ interests, functioning as a crucial part of Denmark’s democratic system to ensure accountable and transparent governance.
