"Nerve"
A nerve is a bundle of specialized fibers that transmit electrical signals between the brain, spinal cord, and various parts of the body. These signals carry information about sensations (like pain, touch, and temperature), as well as commands for movement and bodily functions. Nerves are essential for communication within the nervous system, allowing the body to respond appropriately to its environment. They consist of tiny nerve fibers (axons) protected by connective tissue, and work together to ensure smooth coordination of sensory input and motor output.
