NEOShield

NEOShield is a collaborative European project focused on developing strategies to protect Earth from potentially hazardous asteroids and comets, known as near-Earth objects (NEOs). The program researches methods to detect, track, and, if necessary, deflect or redirect these space objects to prevent possible impacts. By understanding how to alter an asteroid's course safely, NEOShield aims to enhance planetary defense capabilities and ensure the safety of Earth from celestial threats through scientific innovation and international cooperation.
