Neorealism Theory

Neorealism, also known as structural realism, is an international relations theory that explains how countries behave based on the global system's structure. It suggests that the international system is anarchic—there's no overarching authority—so states prioritize their own security and power. Since other states are seen as potential threats, nations focus on self-defense and balancing power to ensure their survival. Neorealism emphasizes that the environment of international politics shapes state actions more than internal factors, making security and stability core concerns in an unpredictable world.
