Neopythagoreanism

Neopythagoreanism is a philosophical and religious movement from ancient Greece that revisited and adapted ideas from the original Pythagoreans. It emphasizes the importance of numbers, harmony, and the soul's purification, believing that understanding mathematical relationships can lead to spiritual enlightenment. Neopythagoreans also incorporated mystical and spiritual practices, viewing the universe as ordered and governed by numerical principles. They sought a harmonious life through contemplation, ethical conduct, and study of mathematics and philosophy, aiming to attain a deeper connection with the divine and achieve personal purification.
