Neoplasticism
Neoplasticism is an art movement that emerged in the early 20th century, founded by Dutch artist Piet Mondrian. It emphasizes using simple geometric shapes—mainly squares and rectangles—and a limited color palette of primary colors, black, white, and gray. The goal is to express universal harmony and order through balanced, abstract compositions, removing any personal or emotional expression. Neoplasticism seeks to distill art to its fundamental elements, creating a sense of clarity and purity that invites viewers to experience a deeper sense of structure and balance within the artwork.
